OK, so my buddy and fellow composer Aidan Reynolds showed me this program where i could remove certain overtones by filtering out either the quieter overtones or the shorter overtones, so did that on this field recording that my brother did of a river while my family and i were on a hike near lake hodges with logan swartz and his girlfriend katie troja. WOO!!
so... its easy as fuck to do shit like this, but its also really fun. so from now on, anything i do like this on the computer will be a part of Fynndlit VI.
This album is all the improvisations that i have done with my one of my best buds, and fellow traveller in both the physical and the art world, Jack Selberg. He plays guitar on most of it, but plays some bass in 7/7/10. These improvisations happened between late winter/spring of 2010 through the summer. woo!
Hey, so I just got this program Reaktor 5 for a class for school and these are the first things I did on it. The first one is 6 sine waves tuned to the frequencies in the title, with some delay. The last song is in 3 parts, and is pure feedback from crazy accident, it worked out perfectly.
